Suspects Sought in Stabbing Investigation | @TorontoPolice | McCowan Rd & Progress Ave

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with a Stabbing investigation.

On Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 11:47 a.m. police responded to a call for an assault in the McCowan Road and Progress Avenue area.

It is reported that:

three men and a woman entered into a store
they selected an item and attempted to leave the store without paying
an off duty Toronto Police officer attempted to stop them
the officer was then stabbed by one of the men
the three men and woman loaded the item into a blue Toyota Sienna minivan
the four suspects got into the vehicle and fled northbound on Brimley Road and then westbound on the 401
the officer was taken to hospital with serious injuries

Suspect #3: female, wearing a green camo colored shirt and gray cargo pants
Suspect #4: male, wearing a white hooded jacket and dark pants
