A tour along the Lahn
A tour along the Lahn without a car - no problem for Stefan Pinnow: He hikes, cycles and paddles, he takes the train, the steamer and the glider, he drives the horse-drawn bus, a mine train and even a "floating donut".
Stops on his journey are the student city of Marburg with its castle, Limburg with the famous cathedral and Bad Ems, where kings and poets took cure. Stefan Pinnow also presents the most beautiful castles and palaces along the 245-kilometer-long Lahn, visits the Fortuna ore mine and the Kubach crystal cave, operates the lock in Germany's only shipping tunnel and explores the steep Ruppertsklamm near Lahnstein.
