While fasting we buy batata chivada from the market. Why not make it at home? Yes, you can easily make it at home that too perfectly like the one you buy. It is a very quick recipe and requires very few ingredients. It tastes just awesome and is fantastic any time snack. Kids will simply love it. You can try this recipe at home and drop a comment for me. Do not forget to like, share and subscribe.

Ingredients:
• 2 big Potatoes
• Oil for frying
• Raw peanuts
• Cashew nuts
• Raisins
• Chopped green chillies
• Powdered Sugar
• Black salt to taste

Method:
• Peel the potatoes and grate them.
• Add a piece of alum in ice cold water and grated potato into it.
• Let the potato be in the water for about 5 minutes.
• Squeeze maximum water from the potato and spread it on a cotton cloth.  
• Let it dry for about 30 minutes.
• Heat up a pan on low to medium heat and drop shredded potato into it.
• Fry the potato well on low to medium heat until nice and crispy for about 5-6 minutes.
• When the potato turns crispy and gets golden color take it out, grain excess oil and transfer it
 on a tissue paper.
• In the same oil add raw peanuts and fry well until these change the color.
• When peanuts begin to change the color add cashew nuts and fry for another a minute or so.
• When cashew nuts begin to change the color add raisins, green chillies and fry everything
 together for another minute or two.
• Turn off the gas and take the fried peanuts, cashew nuts, raisins and green chillies out, drain
 excess oil and transfer them on the fried potato.
• Mix everything carefully.
• Add powdered sugar, salt and mix well carefully.
• Upwas batat chivada is all ready.
• You can store it in airtight container for about 2-3 weeks.
