Breaking In

The plaintiff says he and his girlfriend rented a room in the defendant’s house, but living there was awful. The plaintiff claims the defendant refuses to return his security deposit, so he is suing. The defendant says the plaintiff and his girlfriend were nothing but troublemakers, and they broke his futon, so he doesn’t owe them anything. The defendant is countersuing for additional damages.
