G'day everyone,

In this video I will be making 2 projects for the effort and materials of one. I have to make a set of V jaws for the 2 piece vise in order to hold down a particularly large piece of round bar on the mill. The piece is 200mm in diameter, which is too big for the normal mill vise. However, the design for these big jaws lends themselves well to being used a V blocks for holding large pieces of round bar on the mill. Something my current V blocks can not do.

I will also be annealing the metal to reduce any warping that may be associated with the built up stresses of the cold rolled steel and the machining process and the case hardening which I will do in the future. I plan to case harden this when I have the chance and I want to reduce any warping, so I will anneal it to reduce the stresses.

I also will be showing a new face mill that I recently made over the course of an afternoon. it uses some CCGT inserts that I don't have a holder for. The face mill isn't able to take the same depth of cuts at the other face mill, but it is able to mill up to a hard shoulder.
