Newark Ohio Fire Department House Fire Dash Cam 158 S 5th

On October 25, 2018 at
On October 25, 2018 at 1740 hours NFD units were dispatched to 158 S. 5th Street for a report of a house fire. Dispatch was advising of a fire in a laundry room. BN-1 arrived to find heavy smoke from the rear of the structure. A 360 walk-around revealed fire out the rear of the house where the laundry room was located.
Rescue-1 pulled a 1-3/4 inch attack line and entered through the side door on the delta side. Ladder-2 arrived and pulled a second 1-3/4 inch line to the second floor to check for extension. The fire was quickly contained to the laundry room. The occupants had self evacuated prior to our arrival. The investigator (I-20) determined the cause of the fire was electrical.
