1) What is the difference between Gen-A and Gen-B?
- Just some bug fixes and few changes, you can see the specific change-log in the second link I give. And about Gen-B2, most people don't need the small update because it's just a fix for an application called Despertar el Cementerio.
2) What firmware should I have for this?
- 3.52 m33-3 or higher; MUST be a custom firmware (from a hacker)
3) For what PSPs does this work?
- Phat (1000) and Slim (2000)
4) For what PSPs this does NOT work?
- The slims with the ta-088 v3 motherboard nor the PSP 3000 or PSP Go
5) What is the difference between the Gen firmwares and the M33 firmwares?
- The m33 firmwares were created by Dark_Alex, probably the best PSP hacker there is. His latest firmware is 5.00 m33-6, and it's kinda outdated by now. The Gen firmware is created by another hacker, and it has all the functionalities as the m33 firmwares and a little more. Still, the 5.50 Gen firmware doesn't come with the 1.50 kernel compatibility (for phat psps)
6) Do the latest games work here?
- Not all. This video can help you to hack a game into making it compatible: PSP Gaming: Play Any Of The Latest Games ; OR upgrade to 5.50 Gen-D3: PSP Upgrade: 5.50 Gen-D3
7) It says Game Cannot be Started or it gives me an error while loading!?
- Either: your PSP is not hacked or you put the folders in the wrong place.
8) Does this update erase my files from my memory stick or anything? And can I delete the updater after its installation?
- The update doesn't touch your memory stick! All your files in it will still be there after the update! And yes, you can delete the updater and its files after the installation
