Astrophotography Vlog - Let's Photograph the Veil Nebula

In this video, I'll use a new light pollution filter with the Altair Hypercam 183C camera to capture some color images to add to my Veil Nebula Project. The Western Veil Nebula is a beautiful supernova remnant in the constellation Cygnus.

This is a fantastic summertime deep-sky target as it spends much of the night high overhead, well away from atmospheric disturbances and city glow. The camera I am using to photograph this nebula is a one-shot-color camera with a 20MP CMOS sensor.

I'll use Astro Photography Tool to capture a sequence of 3-minute exposures of NGC 6960 from the backyard. The images benefit from auto-guiding using the PHD2 guiding software and a small auto-guiding setup from Altair Astro.

These images are captured through an Explore Scientific ED102 CF Telescope on a Sky-Watcher HEQ5 Pro SynScan Mount.  Please subscribe to this YouTube Channel for more, or visit my website for the complete details of my equipment, and this image: https://astrobackyard.com/
