Genome wide study Part 13 | Promoter region analysis using Plantcare | Cis regulatory element

In this video, we will do the promoter region analysis of a gene through online line tool PLANTCARE. First we need to retrieve the promoter sequence of the gene from phytozome and then used it for cis-regulatory element analysis. We will also do the graphical representation of cis-regulatory elements present in the promoter region of the gene through TBTool. We also collect all the cis-regulatory elements present in the promoter sequence of the gene and write them in a excel sheet. We acknowledged the effort of Zhang et al., 2015, who have prepared the beautiful excel sheet “Datasheet 6” in their manuscript “Genome-wide analysis and expression profiling under heat and drought treatments of HSP70 gene family in soybean (Glycine max L.)”.
