Calvin Ellis ( President Superman ) is Superman from alternate Earth 23, and is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by Grant Morrison and Doug Mahnke, and debuted in Final Crisis #7 (March, 2009).
This version of Superman is strongly based on both real-life President Barack Obama and famed boxer Muhammad Ali (as confirmed by writer Grant Morrison).
He is the third black Superman. The first two being Sunshine Superman and Superman of Earth-D.
The name "Calvin Ellis" was originally introduced as an alias for the original Superman in a 1985 story written by Alan Moore.
