Auf der Modell, Hobby & Spiel in Leipzig war viele Jahre lang die Modulanlage Altenroda der Familie Ristau eines der Hingucker und immer sehr dicht von Menschen umringt. Wo bekommt man auch sonst maßstäbliche Spur 2-Modelle mit 64mm Gleisen und Meterspur-Modelle mit 45mm Gleisen vereint auf einer Anlage zu sehen? Den Platz und das Geld dafür dürften die Wenigsten haben.
Die letzten Jahre aber konnte man die Anlage auf der Messe nicht mehr bewundern. Das hat den Grund, daß sie in eine Halle eingezogen ist und hier stationär aufgebaut und erweitert wird. Anläßlich eines kleinen Gartenbahntreffens Anfang 2024 hatte ich die Gelegenheit, das Flair der großen Spuren filmisch im Bild festzuhalten und den aktuellen Bauzustand zu dokumentieren.
Es ist beeindruckend, wenn zwei Dampflokomotiven der Baureihe 50 im Maßstab 1:22,5 ihren Zug mit 16 Schotterwagen an ihr Ziel befördern. Die ehemalige Kriegslok BR42 hat ebenso Aufgaben im Zugdienst wie die Diesellok BR106 und E-Lok BR204 zu erfüllen. Aber auch andere große Maschinen wie die BR52 erfreuen des Betrachters Auge. Auf dem Schmalspurteil sind viele hochwertige Fahrzeuge der Harzer Schmalspurbahnen (HSB) unterwegs. Ein ganz besonderes Schmankerl ist das verlegte Dreischienengleis.
Wer jetzt aber gedacht hat, nur die Lokomotiven lassen sich digital steuern, der irrt gewaltig. Auf der Anlage konnte ein Wartburg 312, zur damaligen Entstehungszeit in den 1960-er Jahren durchaus mit den westlichen Automodellen konkurrenzfähig, im Einsatz beobachtet werden. Ein ferngesteuerter Portalkran belädt einen LKW S4000, der dann seine Reise zum Kunden antritt. Aber auch der mechanische Antrieb eines großen Eisenbahndrehkranes (EDK) weiß zu überzeugen.
Jetzt bitte zurücklehnen und eintauchen in das Modellbahnflair der großen Spuren und ganz entspannt den Film genießen.
Track 2 / 2m – model railway Altenroda
For many years, the Ristau family's model railway Altenroda was one of the eye-catchers at the Modell, Hobby & Spiel in Leipzig and was always very densely surrounded by people. Where else can you see scale 2 gauge models with 64mm tracks and meter gauge models with 45mm tracks combined on one model railway? Very few people have the space and money for it.
In recent years, however, the model railway has no longer been able to be admired at the trade fair. The reason for this is that it has moved into a hall and is being set up and expanded here as a stationary facility. During a small garden railway meeting at the beginning of 2024, I had the opportunity to capture the flair of the large model railways on film and to document the current construction status.
It is impressive when two steam locomotives from the 50 series in a scale of 1:22.5 transport their train with 16 gravel wagons to their destination. The former BR42 war locomotive also has to fulfill tasks in train service like the BR106 diesel locomotive and the BR204 electric locomotive. But other large machines are also pleasing to the eye. There are many high-quality vehicles from the Harz narrow gauge railways (HSB) on the narrow-gauge section. A very special treat is the laid three-rail track.
But if you thought that only the locomotives can be controlled digitally, you are very much mistaken. A Wartburg 312, which was quite competitive with western car models when it was built in the 1960s, could be observed in action at the facility. A remote-controlled gantry crane loads an S4000 truck, which then begins its journey to the customer. But the mechanical drive of a large railway crane (EDK) is also impressive.
Now sit back and immerse yourself in the model railway flair of the large model railways and enjoy the film in a relaxed manner.
