Marcory is a suburb of Abidjan, Ivory Coast. It is one of the urban communes of the city. Marcory is one of four communes of Abidjan that are entirely south of Ébrié Lagoon, the others being Treichville, Koumassi, and Port-Bouët.
Marcory est une commune de la ville d'Abidjan, en Côte d'Ivoire. Elle est située au sud de la ville, entre la commune de Treichville et celle de Koumassi, sur l’île de Petit Bassam. On y trouve un des plus célèbres maquis de la ville, le Marcory Gasoil qui fait partie des Mille Maquis et aussi le Stade Robert Champroux. La commune est Marcory est reliée à celle de Cocody par un pont à péage autoroutier Henri Konan Bédié inauguré le 16 décembre 2014. Son maire, élu par le conseil municipal le lundi 17 juin 20131 est Aby Raoul, remplaçant Lamine Diabagaté.
Henri Konan Bédié Bridge, also known as the HKB Bridge or Third Bridge, is a road bridge and expressway linking the north and south of Abidjan. The 1.5 km (0.93 mi) viaduct crosses the Ébrié Lagoon connecting the districts of Cocody and Marcory.
Built, financed and operated as a Public-private partnership, the toll bridge is the third major road crossing of the Ebrié lagoon and was designed to reduce congestion on its two predecessors, the Houphouët-Boigny Bridge and the Charles de Gaulle Bridge, constructed in the 1950s and 1960s respectively.[1]
