Hello Friends, Today I have come up with traditional Bengali recipe. Papaya chutney or plastic chutney is a unique Bengali dish that is very popular in every Bengali household. Translucent and glossy, the recipe has a plastic like image which makes it very interesting. So let’s make plastic chutney today!

What you will need:
1) Papaya: 1
2) Sugar: 1/2 cup
3) Kishmish: handful
4) Lemon juice: 1
5) Water:  3/4 cup
6) Ghee: 1/2 tsp
How to make:
• Take a raw papaya and peel it.
• Deseed it and make pieces.
• Now make fine slices out of the pieces and keep aside.
• Boil water in a pan and add the slices to it and cook till they become transparent.
• Strain it and keep aside.
• Heat a pan and add a ½ cup sugar and add water to it and when it starts to boil add the papaya slices.
• In the meantime take a small pan add little ghee and add a handful of kishmish/  rasins to it  and fry.
• Keep them aside.
• When the sugar syrup turns thick add the fried kishmish and lemon juice and mix.  
• Remove from flame and let it cool and serve with lunch or dinner.
