Genesis GV70 electric car 2023 review: Electrified | Better family SUV than BMW iX3 or Mercedes EQC?

Hyundai's premium brand, Genesis, is already at the forefront of the EV revolution in its respective segment, having launched three new electric cars in 2022. One of them is this, the 2023 Genesis GV70 Electrified, which is a rival to the BMW iX3 and Mercedes-Benz EQC.

And the GV70 Electrified certainly isn't messing around, with its dual electric motors combining to produce 360kW of power and 700Nm of torque. Needless to say, those outputs give the already luxurious five-seater a serious high-performance edge.

Of course, the internal-combustion versions of the South Korean mid-size SUV are already well regarded, so just how much better does a battery-electric powertrain make it? Family Reviewer Emily Agar put the GV70 Electrified through its paces with her family for a week to find out. Spoiler alert: everyone that was lucky enough to score a seat in it came away very, very impressed.
