London Mayor Sadiq Khan first introduced the Ultra Low Emissions onto London's roads in 2019
In August 2023 he took the drastic decision to extend the area covered, to border the M25
This meant millions were left facing huge fines for driving or riding motorised vehicles within the area, it didn't matter whether you were a leisurely Sunday driver, a disabled citizen doing their monthly shop or a cash strapped commuter working a second shitty job - just to keep a roof over your loved ones heads.
There was no discrimination, everyone either had to pay up or stay put!
As I understand it, a blanket ban came into place for any motorcycle manufactured before the early naughties regardless of the actual emission levels those bikes put out.
Today we will find out whether a 23 year old Honda VFR can indeed pass the ULEZ emissions test.
