Pilates Reformer 60 Minute Workout - It’s a Coordinated Effort

Props: Light Dumbbells, Reformer Box, Squishy Pad Focus: Upper Body, Inner Thigh and Abdominals Difficulty Rating: 4 (intermediate) - due to the amount of layering and upper body endurance strength required Duration: 60 Minutes (+ for stretching) Machine Set-Up at START: - 1Y (extra light) spring ON - Footbar NEUTRAL position - Reformer Box - Short Box style placed in front of the shoulder blocks (please do not place over the shoulder blocks) - Squishy Pad on platform - Pair of Light Dumbbells (1-3lbs) placed on headrest This workout will challenge your endurance strength through the upper body! I recommend keeping your dumbbells under 5 pounds due to the number of layers in each sequence. I used a pair of 3 pounders! In this 60 minute Reformer workout your coordination will be challenged as you execute sequences where your limbs will be required to do two different movement patterns simultaneously. We will dig deep and recruit the core as our powerhouse of strength as the limbs start to fatigue remembering that our limbs are not meant to move on their own without help from the core. The inner thighs will have a couple very targeted sequences and there is a spicy plank off the rear of the machine that may require a quick breather afterwards!
