Hello everyone. Welcome to ForB's English lesson video. I'm Kevin. And today we are going to work on Pronunciation. And, for today we're going to work on..hmmm. How would we say these two sounds? Do you know?

The first one we would say "C, C." And, the second one, we would say "she, she." So, we have to be very careful with these two sounds. They're very close but a little bit different. For the first sound the "C" sound, we need a good "ssss" sound. Tongue will be up pressing to the top of our mouth. Lips don't move so much. It's a very long sound. "C, C." Repeat after me. "C, C." Very good.

For the second word "she", we need a "sh" sound. Tongue kind of middle of our mouth. Lips will push out a little bit. "she, she." Repeat after me. "she, she." Very good.  Very good. Now, let's look at this word. How should we say this word? That's right it's "C." OK. Good job.

Now, a second word. How should we say this? OK. Again, "C."
So, even though different words, different meaning, different spelling, same sound. "C." OK. Very good job.

Now, we have two more words. Hmm. How do we say these words? The first one, "sheet, sheet." Notice we have to have the "sh" sound there. And, of course, the second one, "seat, seat." Good S sound there.

OK. One more check. Two American cities. Hmm. How do we say these two city names? The first one, "Seattle, Seattle." Notice no "sh" sound, only S. "Seattle."
Second one, "Chicago, Chicago." Have to have a good "sh" sound there. "Chicago."

Alright. Ready? Now let's check your pronunciation. We're going to show some words. Please say them correctly
with good "s" or "she" pronunciation as soon as you see them. Ready. Let's go!

"C, she, see, sheet,  seat, Seattle, Chicago." OK. Again. faster ! "sea, sheet, Chicago, C, she, Seattle, seat."

OK. Good job everyone! Now, let's do a quick review of these sounds. Let's go through the "S" sounds first. Please say them out loud with me. Let's begin. "C, see, sea, seat, Seattle." Alright, great!

Now, let's do the same thing with "sh" sounds. Again, please say them out loud with me. Begin. "She, sheet, Chicago."

Alright. Great work. OK. I hope you all enjoyed today's pronunciation practice. It's pretty hard these are very similar sounds. But, you all did very good work.
