In today's video, we are going to talk about a common error that Pilots make when lining up for take-off.
When you receive the clearance for take-off you need to line up the aircraft for take-off.
If the runway is long and you are not performance limited you won't have any problems, however, if your runway is short and you are performance limited it is imperative that you use the whole runway.
Here is the problem, I have seen many times pilots following the yellow line during the line-up, this is what you should not do if you need the entire runway.
The yellow line that you see after the holding point is to allow the aircraft to vacate the runway after landing.
If you follow the yellow line during your line-up procedure you will lose important meters during your take-off run.
