Why was there no major architectural competition for Berlin's new central station?
What did the railroad boss and the architect argue about bitterly?
What technical challenges were there in the construction of Berlin's main station?
Why is the east-west roof shorter than planned, so that first-class passengers in Berlin are sometimes left out in the rain?
What were the delays? What distinguishes Berlin Central Station?
Since I have already uploaded a virtual tour of Berlin Central Station, here is just the commented version, in which I go into the history of the creation of Europe's largest tower station and answer the above questions.
