REFILL SALT CONTAINER
1) Locate the softener unit, usually located at the bottom of the dishwasher by the drain (below the bottom basket). (I removed the lower basket to make it a bit easier)
2) Unscrew the cap and fill it with dishwasher salt using the supplied funnel . There is no specific guide outlining the amount of salt you need to add. Simply fill the reservoir until it won’t take any more.
3) If the reservoir is full of water, you can still pour the salt in. It will displace what is already there and the salt does not need to be dry. Just keep filling until it slightly heaps up.
4) Firmly Replace the cap . Your dishwasher is ready to use again!
REFILL RINSE AID (When FULL the little glass window is dark, when EMPTY it is shiny as you can see inside)
1) Usually in the Dishwasher Door, Should be a a screw cap
2) Should be a little 'Window' to indicate level
3) Unscrew the cap and refill to the top.
4) replace cap
How often should you refill ? Well every six weeks or so you can top up the salt & rinse aid that can never hurt. I just wait until I get an unsatisfactory wash and then top up but it's probably best to top up regularly. We got 6 months of daily usage from out last refill of salt & rinse aid. that seems much too long as I don't know if someone topped it up in between.!

Why do you need Salt in your Dishwasher?
The Salt is necessary to soften the water which vastly increases the washing efficiency.
Dishwasher salt is specially formulated for your machine and cannot be substituted with table salt, sea salt, or rock salt. It has much larger granules and contains a special anti-caking agent, ensuring that when the salt gets wet, it doesn’t become a solid mass or block the softener unit. Ordinary salt can even increase water hardness and damage your machine.
