Vintage Bangor & Aroostook F3A on CP 421! (06/06/2023)

On June 7th, 2023, I managed to catch a RARE locomotive coming into Winnipeg! I got word a few days before, an old BAR locomotive stored at the old CM&Q (CP) Derby Shops was on it's way to Calgary. It was first on CP train 134, which we don't get over here. I thought we wouldn't see it... until I heard that it had been put onto CP 421, which we DO get coming into WPG. I watched for it like crazy, this was something I couldn't just pass on seeing, as I'm a big fan of older Diesels, lol. CP 421 most of the times comes into the city around 3-5pm, however, this one mustve stopped to do some work in NW Ontario. I went out around 11pm on June 6th and finally got a glimpse of it at 1 AM on the 7th. B&A 502 is an EMD F3A built in 1947. It was originally numbered 502A, before being renumbered to 42 in the late 50's. It later became part of the now infamous MM&A fleet as 502, before being transferred to CM&Q. It sat at Derby shops for a while before finally being moved recently. 502 is headed to Calgary for some reason? I'm not sure if CP still owns it or if it's been sold off to a private owner or museum. It'd be hilarious if CP restored it and made it part of their heritage fleet or something like that.
