What is a world of regions in the contemporary world?
"In A World of Regions, Peter J. Katzenstein persuasively argues that 'porous regions,' historically distinctive yet open to transnational influences and embedded in an American imperium, are critical elements in the dynamics of contemporary world politics."
Regionalism is a political process characterized by PY | economic policy cooperation and coordination among countries (Claudio, 2018). Whereas regionalization is the concentration of economic flow within a region thereby binding together the region’s economy. Since regionalism is a process, regions are not given or naturally created. They are the product of political and economic actors and even social movements. Regions group and divide due to common traits and vested interests. The world is divided according to socio-economic and political aspects.
