Are you located in Berlin Mitte and want to go to the airport? In this video I'll show you step by step how to do it from Alexanderplatz.
In addition to being a busy tourist destination as a symbolic place in the German capital, Alexanderplatz station is undoubtedly a very important railway hub. Subway lines (U-Bahn in German), city elevated trains (S-Bahn) and, of course, regional trains run there, allowing you to reach all the major cities in Brandenburg.
In this video I show you the two options for getting to Berlin's airport, BER. Both have exactly the same cost. So once you have made your ticket for the ABC zones at the modest sum of 4 euros you can choose either one or the other, as you prefer.
Option 1 - Slower
Go up to platform 3 and take the S9. Within 45 minutes you will be at Berlin Airport. Undoubtedly a considerable time, but the advantage is that the S9 also stops at Terminal 5 in the rather remote event that your flight leaves from here.
Option 2 - Faster
Go to platform 1 and take the Regional train. In 20 minutes you will reach terminals 1 and 2 of the airport. The advantage? A very comfortable and fast train.
