For more sports and random stuff, visit The Touchback: thetouchback.com/ More on the Oakland A's: thetouchback.com/tag/oakland-as/ I reckon I should be thankful Vivek Ranadive owns the team and saved the Sacramento Kings from leaving town. He got Golden1 Center built. However, his presence hangs over fans like the sword of Damocles as we all await his next bad decision. And it looks like we may not have to wait all that much longer. Ranadive continues to push Sacramento as a temporary home for the Oakland A’s in their relocation saga. A man who turned Sacramento into a Basketball Hell is now making a deal with MLB’s devil and for what? There is seemingly no good reason for the Kings' owner to make this deal. In many ways, it is not unsurprising Ranadive and Oakland A's owner John Fisher have linked. Fisher loves to lie and Ranadive is someone who likes being lied to. Peas in a pod if there ever were such a thing. In addition to owning the Kings, Ranadive acquired the Sacramento River Cats and Sutter Health Park. Fisher is desperate for a stadium this Oakland A’s can use for a few years in his bumbling, foolish pursuit of a Las Vegas baseball stadium that continues to make little to no sense. Ranadive is enabling Fisher to do the same thing to Oakland that the Maloof Brothers wanted to do to Sacramento back in the day. How the current Kings owner does not understand this is truly mystifying. Yet, it’s also not surprising considering this is the franchise that drafted Marvin Bagley over Luca Doncic. About The Touchback #takeitouttothe25 The Touchback is the world’s best sports and culture website…or something like that. You’ll either really like it or really hate it. But it’s worth reading either way.
