ANZAC biscuits are very popular in New Zealand and Australia.
Crispy, buttery, golden oatmeal biscuits that have a toffee-like flavour!
The crunchiness of Anzac Biscuits goes back to the roots of when they were invented – by soldiers’ wives who needed a biscuit recipe that would stay fresh for the months that it would take to reach soldiers overseas back in the early 1900’s.
🍪 Ingredients
1 cup plain flour
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup coconut
125g butter
2 tbs golden syrup
1 tbs water
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda(or baking soda)
Bake it in the oven at 180 degrees for 12-14 minutes👍🏻
