Are 50cc Scooters Fast Enough?

Wondering if a 50cc scooter is fast enough to get around? Yes! Especially if the majority of your driving is urban and / or suburban. Most daily destinations tend to be within 2 - 4 miles. It is very possible to make a 50cc scooter your only form of transportation (weather permitting.)


One of my subscribers recently asked if I regretted getting a Yamaha Zuma 50cc scooter vs a 125cc or 250cc scooter. The short answer is no, but here are some thoughts as I drive to the mall on faster roads with a 50cc scooter that has a top speed of 35-40 mph. It really doesn't bother me too much.
