This is a documentary based on WATERMILL (पनचक्की also known as घराट(घट्ट) in local language ) which is situated in Gahli(Nara) village of himalayan state Uttarakhand.
#घराट_एक_मूक_साक्षी #WatermillAmuteWitness is story of a watermill who have seen rise and fall of Uttarakhand village...being mute .
Gahli(NARA) village is situated Dwarikhal development block of PauriGarhwal district and 125 km far north from the Dehradun (state capital of Uttarakhand).
A perennial river "Hinwal (known as हुंयल) flows near to this village and meet Ganga at Rishikseh.
Like rest of the himalayan village of Uttarakhand this village is also suffering from the problem of migration #पलायन .
In uttarakhand almost 700 + village have been abandoned by its native and now nobody lives there. They now known as #Ghostvillage
For the better life style ,better health services and better education for their kids and good job oppurtunity , migration is still happening despite Uttarakhand has 20 year of its self reign.
