In this video, we will look at a physical pump panel along with its schematic and we will explain what each of the components does and how they are wired. In the last video in this series, we went over a 3 phase pump panel and how a pump is controlled both in Auto Mode as well as hand mode. In Auto mode, the pump will start using a standard float switch that closes on rise. This would be typical of a sewage lift station. When the liquid rises the float normally open contact is closed, and the pump starts. In the Hand Mode, the pump waits for the start button to be pressed in order to run. Once running in hand mode, the Hand, Off, Auto switch must be turned to off for the pump to stop. In this video, we will focus more on the real physical wiring of the panel.
