Abstract acrylic painting with the squeegee technique only works on large canvases? I was keen to try this out and painted a squeegee painting in the style of Gerhard Richter on a small canvas measuring 30 x 30 cm using a narrow cake knife. In contrast to his large paintings and large squeegee tools, my canvas is of course tiny. Nevertheless, even the small canvas and the cake knife as a squeegee tool has its pitfalls.
