Welcome to the fourth video in the INFJ Cognitive Functions series. We will start by shedding light on the often misunderstood and underestimated function of Extraverted Sensing (Se) within INFJs. By neglecting this vital aspect of our personality, we deprive ourselves of its immense potential. We learn that relying solely on our dominant function, introverted intuition, becomes unsustainable, limiting our ability to navigate life's complexities.

As we ignore our inferior function for too long, frustration and stress begin to surface. The repressed energy of extraverted sensing manifests in unexplainable urges and compulsions, signaling an imbalance that needs restoration.

Eventually, the dominant function reaches its breaking point, leading to the grip experience of the inferior function. We explore how this challenging period distorts our perception of reality and amplifies its weaknesses and destructive tendencies. However, we recognize this experience as a powerful wake-up call, urging us to integrate our inferior function and seek a healthier balance.

Embracing extraverted sensing allows us, as INFJs, to unlock a range of positive qualities. We discover the importance of appreciating the present moment, engaging our senses fully, and savoring the beauty of our surroundings. This newfound awareness enriches our lives and strengthens our connections with others.

We learn practical ways to incorporate extraverted sensing into our daily activities. By developing skills that involve physical coordination, sports, or artistic expression, we express our creativity and experience a sense of mastery. Engaging in sensory-rich activities, such as nature walks, dancing, or cooking, provides grounding and rejuvenation.

The true power lies in integrating our dominant function, introverted intuition, with extraverted sensing. By perceiving the world through both intuitive insight and sensory awareness, we gain a more complete understanding of reality. This integration enhances our decision-making, problem-solving, and adaptability.

Finding balance within ourselves is a lifelong journey, requiring self-awareness, self-compassion, and a willingness to explore new perspectives. By acknowledging the significance of extraverted sensing, we unlock our full potential as INFJs and lead more fulfilling and harmonious lives.
