ITEMS USED TO MAKE THE BOUNCE:
A1 stretched canvas
Cable ties
Hook and loop velcro tape
Pins
Screws
Black material (we used "theatre curtain", good thickness, flame retardant, etc - the classic one to use it duvetyne)
Bounce material (we used unbleached muslin - makes for a warm, smooth, bounce light)
We also used a bradawl to make the holes, screwdriver to screw in the screws (what a sentence) and fabric scissors to cut the material.
And a stapler!

One update after using the bounce a few times: staple more of the velcro than just the ends, as it will start peeling off of the material :D or there may be a better solution - I'm rubbish at this stuff ;)

Sometimes, creating your own solution is the best way to get around issues that you might face when working on budgets in your video/photo work. We make a DIY overhead bounce, which can be controlled via makeshift flags, and also use velcro tape to make the bounce material swappable - giving you more options when it comes to using the canvas. And the whole setup is very light, meaning you're able to hang it from cheaper boom arms - don't go too cheap though ;)
