It takes a village to raise a child.

This ancient proverb has shown its timelessness and relevancy while I naively wander around the yard of craftsmen and artists looking for a hand with a particular task. Although I have a mentor who has committed to seeing this project through with me, we both faced with the daunting task of installing the roofing correctly given my untraditionally large skylights. So I took to the creative folks around the yard to see if there was someone who might be able to help. As I asked around, I was pointed to Erick, an artist who installed roofing in a former life. A simple ask later and we found ourself with a savvy builder who was keen to work with us to complete a proper roof installation.

In the few day working with Erick, I’ve realized he might be enjoying teaching me just as I have enjoyed learning from him. Win-win.
