Composer-Singer: Pawa

Meaning of the Chant:
Whatever beings are assembled here, whether terrestrial or celestialMay  you all be pleasant and listen closely to what is saidTherefore,  please give good heed; all  living beings and pay love-kindness to human beings.Who day and night,  bring food to you; guard them therefore, vigilantly1.Whatever treasure is in this world or other or the precious jewels in the  pleasant imaginary world. No, None is comparable to the Perfect One2.That Cessation, Passion-free, Immortality Supreme; through concentration that the tranquil sage of the Sakyas realised. There is nothing comparable to the DhammaIn the Dhamma, is this precious jewel found; by this truth may there be happiness.) 3.The sanctity praised by the Buddha supreme is described as; Concentration with immediate effect. In them, nothing is comparable to that 'Samadhi'
In the Dhamma, is this precious jewel found; by this truth may there be happiness.

4.Those eight Individuals, praised by the virtuous, constitute four pairs
They , the worthy of offering, the disciple of the Sugat (Buddha),  gifts given to them yield abundant fruits. In the Sangha, is this precious jewel found; by this truth may there be happiness.

5.With firm minds, exempt from passion, applying themselves persevering in Gotama’s Sasana. They have attained what should be attained, and, plunging into greatest pleasure, enjoy the 'Nibbana' obtained without price. In the Sangha, is this precious jewels found, by this truth may there be happiness)

6.Just as a post firm grounded in the earth, can not be shaken by the four winds.
So is the righteous person, I say; who thoroughly perceives the Noble truths, is similar to that.In the Sangha, is this precious jewel found, by this truth may there be happiness.

7.Those who clearly understand the Noble Truths; well taught by him of deep wisdom.
If they are slightly negligent, would not undergo more than  8th times,  to de-associate  with worldly suffering. In the Sangha is this precious jewel found;  by this truth may there be happiness.

8.Together with his attainment of insight, three states are at once comes to nought, namely.Self illusion, doubt, and indulgence in (wrongful) rites and rituals, if there be any.
He is absolutely freed from four states of misery and is incapable of committing the six major wrong doings. In the Sangha is this precious jewel found;  by this truth may there be happiness.)

9.Whatever  un-moral  he does, whether by deed, word or thought.
It is impossible to hide for one ,who has seen the path; as said.
In the Sangha is this precious jewel found; by this truth may there be happiness.

10.Like woodlands groves with blossomed tree top in the first month of the summer season. So has, the sublime Doctrine that leads to Nibbana; been taught for the highest good.In the Buddha is this precious jewel found; by this truth may there be happiness.
11.The unrivalled Excellent One, the Knower; the Giver and the Bringer of the Excellent has expounded the excellent Doctrine.
In the Buddha is this precious jewel found; by this truth may there be happiness.

12.Whose past is extinct with no new arising; are minds-detached from coming in worldly  pleasure.

13.Whose old seeds are destroyed, craving uprooted; those wise ones are extinguished like a lamp.In the Sangha is this precious jewel found; by this truth may there be happiness.

14.Whatever beings are here assembled, whether terrestrial or celestial.
We salute the Buddha; honoured by men and women, may there be happiness

15.Whatever beings are here assembled, whether terrestrial or celestial.
We salute the  Sangha; honoured by  men and women, may there be happiness.

We salute the  Sangha; honoured by  men and women, may there be happiness.
