Setting up Your Exodus Render Cell Camera

In this video we are covering top to bottom, everything you need to know about setting up your Exodus Render Cell Camera.  If you are watching this because you recently purchased a Render, Thanks for your purchase!

First things first, Please read the user manual provided with the camera.  There is important information regarding required settings for proper functionality that we did not cover in this video.

Once you receive the camera and have read the user manual, the first thing you need to do is register the warranty.  There is a very good chance that the deciding factor for your purchase was our 5 year No BS Warranty.  So, please register that warranty within 30 days of receiving your camera.  One thing to note:  if you purchased this camera on back order, or a pre-sale, use the date you received the camera rather than the purchase date for the warranty registration.  The provided warranty card gives you all the details on how to register your 5 year warranty.

The next step in the process is activation and data plan purchasing.  The activation process is all done through the SCOUTEK app.  The first step is to download the app, then just follow the automatic registration process.  We have another video on the channel that covers step by step how to activate the camera : Exodus Render Activation: http://bit.ly/RenderActivation

Once the camera is activated, you will need a data plan to start sending pictures to your phones.  Data plan costs and fees are as follows:  There is a $7 line fee PER CAMERA per month, and then data costs are shared across as many cameras as you have.  So say you have three Renders, you will have $21 a month in line fees, and then your monthly data costs which can range from $1 - $120 depending on how much data you wish to purchase.

One important note is that when setting up the camera, ALWAYS power the camera ON from the OFF position.  Do not turn the camera directly from SETUP mode to ON. This will kill the batteries rather quickly.

Recommended Settings to get to know your camera:
- Photo Mode
- 1 or 2 shot burst
- 15 second trigger delay
- real time uploads. **If you are out of season, extend your upload frequency to extend battery life!
