Malaysian health authorities have warned
Malaysian health authorities have warned of large-scale COVID-19 community transmission in the easternmost state of Sabah. On Oct 9, almost 80% of the 354 new cases reported in Malaysia were from Sabah. The country's number one hotspot also recorded six deaths. Several villages in Semporna along the east coast have been put under complete lockdown. More than 30,000 villagers will be forced to isolate themselves in their homes.
