16세기의 조선은 북방의 여진과 남방의 왜구에게 모두 위협을 받고 있었습니다.
위기감을 느낀 조선은 명나라와 일본의 기술을 도입해 다양한 무기를 새로 개발했습니다.
이 과정에서 등장한 승자총통은 세종 이후 조선군 개인화기의 가장 큰 혁신으로 꼽힙니다.
화력조선 시즌2 첫 번째 이야기는 조선 최후 최강의 핸드캐논인 승자총통의 탄생과, 최악의 북변인 니탕개의 난 당시 승자총통의 활약에 대한 이야기입니다.
In the 16th century, Joseon was threatened by the Jurchen in the north and the Wokou in the south. This crisis spurred Joseon to adopt technology from the Ming Dynasty and Japan for developing many different kinds of firearms. Seungja-chongtong is considered the biggest innovation in the history of Joseon’s individual firearms since the reign of King Sejong.
In the first episode of ‘Firepower of Joseon’ Season 2, we’ll take a look the birth of seungja-chongtong, Joseon’s best and last hand cannon, and the triumph of seungja-chongtong in Ni Tang-gae’s Invasion, one of the most challenging wars on the northern frontier.
