4.3 Vortec Intake Gasket Replacement Guide Detailed

Your guide to replacing faulty intake gaskets on the 4.3 Vortec engine.  This is specifically for the 4.3 in a 99' Silverado, but should be very similar to Blazer/Jimmy's. Notes and links below:

Distributor is easy to remove, one bolt, but make sure you mark the position of the rotor in relation to the distributor base and re-install in the same position (don't spin the engine either).



Update 1/11/2020: Still going no issues
Update 4/16/2022: It got a rear main, front seal, and oil pan gasket.  Still runs like a dream.
