This VINTAGE Calicchio was hand crafted by the old man himself. Yes, Domenick had a special touch that made each and every horn he made a seriously sought after item! With a SN# 2653, that dates this horn around 1977-78, 2. You can call Calicchio (John Duda) and verify that it was sold to Mickey McMahan, the late great Lead player of the famous Lawrence Welk show orchestra. This 1S7 is THE most open horn of it's kind. It is radically free blowing and centers and slots perfectly from low F# all the way to double high 'C' !!! It has just recently had a valve alignment and and ultra sonic cleaning from the famous Flip Oakes. You will never find a better lead or jazz horn EVER!!!! No case or mp....just a stunning example of one of THE best vintage horns in the world!! This is an excellent playing trumpet especially for playing lead in a big band.
