After many epic sword battles we decided on this top five swords in video games. CHAAAARGE!!! Who doesn't love a huge glorious sword? Shiny steel, stained with virtual blood and powered by the death of enemies. It's time to cross swords and show you the five most awesome blades in video games. CHAAAAARGE! Energy Sword (Halo) If you every played Halo 2 online you might remember the frustration people have with this sword. The Energy Sword and its melee attack are extremely powerful. From the sound it makes when you pick it up, to lunging at other players, the Energy Sword strikes gamers with fear. Sword of Sparda (Devil May Cry) Dante from the Devil May Cry series likes combining sword and gunplay. His Sword of Sparda is an indestructible demon-forged sword, needing both the Force Edge and the Perfect Amulet to awaken its demon powers. It was introduced in the first Devil May Cry, and we've seen it in every game since. That's how awesome it is. Soul Edge (Soul Calibur) No wonder Siegfried became Nightmare in the Soul Calibur series. The Soul Edge sword is part metal, part organic and a hundred percent badass. Soul Calibur is of course its good guy's counterpart. We have to go with the evil Soul Edge however as there's something about demonic swords with creepy eyes that makes them look simply awesome! Buster Sword (Final Fantasy) We know that Sephiroth's Masamune Sword in the Final Fantasy series is one of the most powerful swords in gaming. But its great power doesn't match its rather plain ecstatic. WE prefer the look of the Buster Sword. Cloud's broad piece of metal just looks awesome! Wielding this huge piece of metal makes you an instant badass! Master Sword (The Legend of Zelda) The number one sword on our list is of course the most iconic sword in gaming. The Master Sword is THE sword you will need to save princess Zelda in the Legend of Zelda series. It's strong, but it's the satisfaction of embarking on an epic quest that makes this baby even more special. Link has a really big word and Zelda eagerly waiting on him.
