JAIN SAMOSA
Ingredients
100 grams readymade samosa dough
2-3 raw bananas, boiled, peeled and mashed
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 teaspoon coriander-cumin powder
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 green chillies, chopped
2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
Salt to taste
½ cup boiled green peas
Oil to deep fry
Method
1. Put raw banana, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam
masala powder, coriander-cumin powder, lemon juice, green
chillies, coriander leaves and salt in a bowl mix well to make
the stuffing. Add green peas and mix again.
2. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
3. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each of them into
five to six inches diameter roundel.
4. Halve each roundel, shape into a cone, dampen the
overlapping edges and press lightly to seal.
5. Stuff the cone with banana mixture and seal the open edge to
make a samosa.
6. Deep fry the samosas, a few at a time, on medium heat till
golden and crispy.
7. Drain on absorbent paper.
8. Arrange them on a serving plate and serve hot.
