In this video, I will perform an exercise for calculating the takt time.

A company of glasses works 5 days a week with 3 shifts a day.
Every shift is of 480 minutes.
The break for lunch is 60 minutes.
In the period of 12 weeks the customer's request is 3114 glasses.

Calculate the Takt Time in the period.

Let's do the Takt Time Calculation for the period.

Net Time per shift = 420 minutes
Working Shifts in the period = 180 shifts
Available Time = 75600 minutes = 4536000 seconds
Customer Request = 3114 glasses
Takt Time = 24,3 minutes = 1457 seconds
