Peyto Lake in Winter Banff Lake Louise Columbia Parkway
After driving from Banff, we arrived at the lower parking lot, the highest point along the Columbia Icefields Parkway at 2155m.
The snow trail along the summer bus route was easy and well packed from previous walkers. There are good views of the surrounding mountains like Observation Peak. After 10 minutes walk I arrived at the summer upper bus parking lot, and a minute later at the viewpoint. The mountains above Peyto Lake are Peyto Peak, Caldron Peak and Mount Patterson.
