After noticing a remarkable improvement
After noticing a remarkable improvement in image quality by adjusting the angle of my transducer, I conducted a comprehensive test to explore whether leveling the transducer truly delivers the best side imaging results. Surprisingly, my findings revealed that contrary to popular belief, leveling the transducer isn't necessarily the key to optimal performance. In this video, I present compelling evidence showcasing why angling your transducer downward at approximately 10 degrees can significantly enhance image clarity. This adjustment not only minimizes interference from the lower unit but also reduces surface water turbulence. Additionally, I employ a simulation to visually demonstrate how an angled transducer yields superior shadow definition and enhanced detail.
