Thank you for your support! ** #TradeTuesday This is a Trade Tuesday Listing - this means it is part of my quest on my YouTube Channel to trade from a Glarry Strat up to a Custom Shop Guitar! This time we have a 1970s (Guyatone) Kent Branded bass that is based off the Fender Jazz Bass. This instrument has been wiped down and lightly cleaned. The neck has some waviness to it and I was unsuccessful in adjusting the truss rod. The neck angle appears to be off so I did a 6 business card shim. As it sits now, this bass is comfortable to play until about the 7th fret. The 9th fret is possible, but anything past 12 is too high. There are light fracture lines by the neck pocket. It is good if you need a cool wall hanger or just a bass to play from time to time at home - Not for professional use at this time. There is a grounding hum (I believe this stems from a missing wiring to the output jack) the tone pot also does not seem to function. The Output can be a bit scratchy, but it started to work much better when I used some contact cleaner. I put new knobs on the pots and cleaned those out too - the volume pots work well with minimal scratchiness. Both pickups are functioning. The overall condition is worn with many nicks and dings all over - please see the photos and the video's condition portion for specific worries. No case comes with this instrument. I have a trade value of $225 - I am interested in any type of musical item - acoustic/electric guitars, pedals etc. This listing is also available to purchase outright. To give my trade series a chance, I will not accept offers until after October 23rd - but feel free to message me them to consideration prior.
