Let's Draw - Baby Sidon and Mipha

Oh man. The first time I saw a picture and video footage of Baby Sidon, I immediately gushed so hard on how adorable he is! I never gushed that much in a long time. XD Anyways, just the existence of Baby Sidon in the game sparked me to do a drawing of him. And since I completed the Champions’ Ballad in Breath of the Wild, I thought it might be cool to add Mipha into the drawing as well. Now, this is sort of a once in a while thing I draw. The cutscene for Mipha’s Song was really heartwarming and sad at the same time, knowing what her Mipha’s fate was. So, for this drawing, I thought I give it a bittersweet feel. Having Baby Sidon by himself in a drawing seems kind of sad and boring, so I included Mipha’s spirit behind him and saying one line she said in the cutscene to Sidon: “I believe in you.” That line really struck and made me come to realization that Sidon wasn’t the one that started that saying. It was Mipha all along, and grown-up Sidon passed that along to Link. I thought it might be touching to add that.
So yep, I’m pulling the heartstrings in this drawing, and in all honesty, while I was sketching this out, the whole bittersweet idea did almost make me tear up a little. XD
Gah, I love the brother/sister bond that Mipha and Sidon share! It’s too cute, especially that cutscene in Champions’ Ballad. I could watch that cutscene all the time. X3 Anyways, enough gushing. Try not to cry everyone.
