Like all the forthcoming commissions for our #schubert200 project, the piece “ Unbegun” by Thomas Kotcheff was inspired by the quartet’s namesake song, Schubert’s song “Alinde.” You can finally hear this rock ‘n roll homage alongside our recordings of Schubert’s first quartet, his famed E-flat Quartet No. 10, and the notorious Quartettsatz!
We are very proud to announce the release our first album of the #schubert200 Project.

Join us on our 8-year journey into the world of Franz Schubert. Alongside the commissions, we will be recording Schubert’s complete quartets for the Hänssler Classic label under the auspices of Deutschlandfunk Kultur.
