The mass air flow (MAF)
The mass air flow (MAF) sensor measures the density and temperature of the air entering the engine. From this information and the readings of the oxygen sensors, it will determine how much fuel should be injected into the engine. In this video, we look at what is inside a MAF sensor and how it can detect unmetered air in the combustion cycle.
