Pulut Ayam also know as
Pulut Ayam also know as Hat Yai Fried Chicken or Fried Chicken with sticky rice is a delicious Thai street food and it’s also famous here in Kedah and Perlis ❤️ today I’m sharing my version of this yummy recipe 😍
A lot of ppl find it long and difficult to cook sticky rice but here I’m showing you an easy way to cook it using just a microwave! You have to try this recipe, it’s so good and one of my go to comfort food! Recipe below ❤️
Pulut Ayam
Ingredients:
4 chicken whole leg
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
2 tablespoons curry powder
6 lemon grass, thick layers removed and blended
1 teaspoon chilli powder
4 candle nut, pounded/ blended
1 teaspoon ground fennel seeds
1 teaspoon ground cumin seeds
1 teaspoon ground coriander seeds
4 tablespoons corn starch
4 tablespoons rice flour
½ cup sesame seeds
6 shallots, peeled, sliced
Salt
Oil for frying
2 pandan leaves
500g thai glutinous rice, soaked for 4 hours and drain the water
Water
Dipping Sauce:
5 shallots, chopped
8 garlic, cloves, chopped
4 lemon grass, thick layers removed
5 birds eye chilled, chopped
2 key lime, juiced
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
5-6 tablespoon palm sugar, grated
Salt
4 tablespoons hot water
1 tablespoon fish sauce
Garnishing:
Banana leaves
Fresh coriander
Fried shallots
