Would you know what to do?

How to help someone who has a head injury:

Step 1:

Ask them to rest and apply something cold to the injury:  use an ice pack, or frozen vegetables, such as peas, wrapped in a spare t-shirt or towel. This will help relieve pain and reduce external swelling.

Step 2:

Watch for the signs and symptoms of a more serious head injury, such as concussion: the person may become briefly unresponsive or be drowsy; feel sick, dizzy or confused.

Step 3:

Call 999 if necessary: if you think the head injury could be more serious, or you are unsure as to how serious it is, always seek medical advice.
