UKRAINE
This Saturday will mark two years since their lives and the lives of millions of other people were changed when Russia invade Ukraine. Hundreds of thousands have died in the conflict and more than 6 million people have become refugees. Ukraine has been relying on financial help from other countries, like the US. But lately, some politicians have been questioning whether support should continue. Other countries are still helping out, but what most people want is an end to the war.

WEATHER UPDATE
Firefighters in Victoria have been battling a massive blaze in the state's west. The fire, near the town of Beaufort, broke out yesterday and quickly spread, forcing lots of locals to evacuate. Emergency crews are also fighting large bushfires in Tasmania. While over on the other side of the country extra resources have been sent to the North West of Western Australia to prep for a potential cyclone that's heading their way.

NASA MOON LANDING
Now it's time to head to the moon which today got a new visitor. Earlier today the Odysseus spacecraft successfully landed on the moon. The Odysseus moon lander took off eight days ago and was powered by a private company called Intuitive Machines with a SpaceX rocket and some help from NASA. It's a pretty big deal, because it's not only the first ever private mission to successfully land on the moon. It's also the first American spacecraft to visit since Apollo 17 back in 1972. Odysseus is carrying a whole bunch of scientific equipment so it can help researchers carry out tests and learn more about the moon's surface. That will come in handy for NASA's Artemis mission, which is hoping to send astronauts to the moon next year. Things were a bit touch and go during the landing, with flight controllers back on earth worried they'd lost communication with the lander. But the issues were quickly solved and Odysseus can now do its thing.
